The ETG Steering Rack Angled Shim is designed for race car steering rack installation and chassis setup applications where an angled or tapered mounting spacer is required.

Unlike a standard flat shim, this precision-machined wedge features a 1/2″ thickness on one side that gradually tapers down to 1/8″ on the opposite side. The angled profile allows the steering rack mounting position and angle to be adjusted while maintaining a solid mounting surface.

Ideal for race car fabrication, steering geometry adjustments, custom steering rack installations, and chassis setup applications.

What Does an Angled Steering Rack Shim Do?

An angled steering rack shim provides a wedge-shaped mounting surface between the steering rack mounting location and its attachment point. Because this ETG shim transitions from 1/2″ to 1/8″, it can be used when the installation requires a change in rack mounting angle rather than simply raising the entire rack an equal amount.

This can be particularly useful when fabricating or setting up a race car where steering rack position, mounting angle, chassis packaging, and steering geometry need to be addressed
